Special Resource: Founders Speak 10

About a year ago, I invested a good bit of time in learning what the founders really said on some of the most important topics of life.

Although plenty of quotes are floating around online, I was frustrated by the lack of quotes on certain crucial issues and the poor historical reliability of those few that were readily available.

Scouring the web (and a few books), I succeeded in compiling a list of nearly 200 quotes by men like George Washington, Patrick Henry, and more!  For every single quote, I included the complete source – often to the exact page number!

For the past year, I have kept this resource on my computer and referenced it frequently. (Twice in debates with atheists about the religion of our founders.)

Now You Can Get This Resource!

As we approached Independence Day this year, I decided to release this valuable document here on Practical Manliness. Just in time for the Fourth of July, you can now see what the founders really said about religion, slavery, government, and more.

I am up for advertising for ya! If you have a review copy laying around I would love to check it out! Having seen the high quality posts though, I feel comfortable with promoting it without. Your choice.

Nate Desmond, a youth with a vision, has compiled a masterpiece of a manuscript he titles: Founders Speak. He has personally collected quotes from 59+ famous persons,190+ quotation in total, ordering them for each person in categories such as, Religion, Slavery, Duties of the People, Government, Education. For my money, he has done an awesome job of it! The quotes are eye opening, interesting, and inspiring. All source work is provided in the margin as well! So for those that like to do their own looking into things, he has provided an admirable way to do that as well 😀

What I posted on Facebook. :) Good luck Nate!

    Nate,
I have gone through the copy you sent me. Like Sam I think it was well researched, but I was disappointed in the rather narrow topic content. You said in your advertisement it “Just in time for the Fourth of July, you can now see what the founders really said about religion, slavery, government, and more.” Unfortunately, I feel there was nothing “more” in it. Where are the quotes on general manliness, morals, 2nd amendment, dealing with a tyrannical government, etc? I could keep going on, you get my drift. You covered religion well, as well as some government, but just failed to give a broader view of topics. As such, I feel I cannot endorse this through my business, I am sorry for this. Part of this stems from the fact that you have not done a Practical Manliness post since June 30th, 3 weeks ago.

    Sincerely,

    Shawn Humphrey

@ Shawn – Thank you for your review! I can see what you mean about the scope being somewhat narrow, and perhaps I will expand it sometime in the future.

You are correct in noticing that I have not posted on here in a few weeks. I am currently taking a “blogging vacation” and re-assessing my life priorities.

Thanks again for taking the time to review Founders Speak!
